The house is centrally located in town—close to everything—while nature is right outside the door. This makes it easy to manage everyday needs during your stay, whether you are here for leisure, work, or visiting family. At the same time, Skansen is an ideal base if you want to spend your days hiking, exploring nature, or taking boat trips.

The beach is right outside the house: the impressive Siorarsuit beach (in Danish: Sorte Sand / Black Sand), known for its dark volcanic sand and unique landscape.

Practical distances:

Why Qeqertarsuaq?

Qeqertarsuaq is a small, well-functioning town with just under 800 residents. You will find what you need to maintain everyday life—and everything is close by, making your stay simple and convenient.

Nature is a major highlight: you are in it immediately. Walk just a little outside town and you will find yourself surrounded by breathtaking scenery, where calmness and views set a slower pace.

Kajuinna

As an extra service, Skansen also has a small shop—Kajuinna, the smallest shop in town—where you can buy a little bit of everything. Here you will find, among other things, amulets, earrings, and ulus, including selected pieces by Niels Miunge, whom we consider one of the most skilled artists we know in North Greenland.
